Sugar Island Barn was such a special part of our wedding. We are so thankful to the whole Robus family for making our festivities exactly what we imagined. We hosted a bonfire on site the night before our ceremony. Our guests enjoyed smores, an open bar, and playing volleyball in the yard. We were able to have our dog on the property the whole time, which made the weekend that much more personal to us.
If you are looking for a stress free venue you absolutely need to come to Sugar Island Barn! They are the most welcoming, friendly, and accommodating people. It may not sound like a big deal to have the venue from Wednesday to Monday, but I promise you it makes your stress levels so much lower. The grounds are absolutely stunning and the family is so willing to adjust anything to ensure the layout is exactly what you want.
The amenities at Sugar Island Barn are fantastic! Having the barn for the whole week was absolutely wonderful and allowed us to decorate and add our touch to our wedding day without being rushed. The family was very helpful in answering questions and helping in planning the day. They fulfilled every request and were happy to help with anything we needed. Highly, highly recommend!
This venue is breathtaking! It was my dream to be married in a barn and this was the place to do it. The staff is unbelievably friendly and always willing to lend a helping hand. We also got the venue on the Wednesday before our wedding, which really brought down the stress with setting everything up. I cannot say enough great things about this venue. Their weekends fill up fast!
They thoroughly answered all of our questions, made sure everything ran smoothly, and were overall a joy to work with. They were unbelievably helpful the entire weekend. They even specifically made sure they provided pineapple wine because I mentioned once it was my favorite. We got so many compliments on how gorgeous everything was and people loved everything about the barn.
We got married here on 10/1/22 and the entire day was perfect. Sugar Island staff did not skip a beat. The new addition including bathrooms, brides room, and catering kitchen puts this barn venue over the rest of the competition. I 1,000% recommend this venue to any couple seeking a barn wedding!
Many barns were charging much more just for one or two days, whereas at Sugar Island Barn it is your wedding week -- Wednesday through Sunday. It was great to host multiple events there: the rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception, and gift opening the following day. I cannot say enough good things about this venue.
The Robus family were so accommodating and attentive. The barn is stunning, and we received a ton of compliments on how it was the perfect venue for the occasion. We even were able to take our engagement photos on the grounds exactly a year prior to the ceremony. Dennis was great about letting us use the space. We highly recommend Sugar Island Barn!
I tell everyone I know planning a wedding to use Sugar Island. You will not beat the price for everything they include. The best part is they only allow one wedding per weekend and you can start setting up on Wednesday. The Robus family are the absolutely sweetest and the dad will give you a detailed history of the barn. It is the most beautiful barn venue I have seen. This is the one to pick.
